Description:
*Performs routine startups for injection molding machines using existing Process Control Sheets and submits first piece samples to QC for approval.
*Conducts mold qualifications and validations on new molds using various experiments including gate freeze and DOE’s.
*Follows scientific molding methodologies
*Identifies mold and equipment problems and issues TRR’s & MRR’s for resolution.
*Provides technical assistance and consults with related departments in resolving problems.
*Participant in Continuous Improvement Committee (CIC) and the New Product Introduction (NPI) meetings.
*Maintains an awareness of new technologies including interaction with Plastics Manufacturer’s on technical issues’
*Participates in customer meetings on an as-needed basis.
*Provides continuous training to technical personnel on injection molding, plastics materials and related topics.
*Prepares new Process Control Sheets as required.
*Reports scrap as required
*Records weight, cycle and cavitation deviations on work orders when submitting first pieces to QC
